Quake 2005 Revolution is a mod wich adds higher resoluted textures, higher resoluted meshes, new shaders,
and new cool player skins to Q3A to give you a whole new Q3A graphics experience.

Requirements:
-------------
-Have the same or higher hardware configuration as required for UT2K3
-Have "Quake 3 Arena" installed (every version / team arena is not required)
-Have about 142 Mb diskspace free
-Know Q3A good enough too see the difference *gg*

Installation:
-------------

Just install it in your Quake3 directory, it should be available then under "Mods" in the Quake3 main menu.
If you want that "Quake 2005 Revolution" also modifies other Q3 mods (for example CPMA), or it simply not works, you have to install it manualy.

Manual Installation
-------------------

Notice: You should Backup your Q3A installation or make a second installation before you install "Quake 2005 Revolution" in the safe way.
The manual installation may be a little bit complicated, but if you read this carefully it should be no
real problem. There is also a easier way to install it, but strange problems may occur, in this case you should choose the
more complicated but safer way.
You have to include "Quake 2005 Revolution" directly into Q3A, because it must replace some files to work properly!

The easy way:

First you have to make a new directory and extract the .exe archive you downloaded from the "Quake 2005 Revolution" website
into this directory. Now re-pack everything (except the .exe file) into one .zip file, rename it into
"pak9.pk3" and move it into the Q3A installation directory (baseq3).

If the console the hud and such things not appear to be shown correctly choose the safe way.

The safe way:

First you have to move the .pk3 files named pak0-pak9 into a new directory and extract them there
(the pak files 1-9 must not exist, this depends on the version you have).
Then extract the .exe archive you downloaded from the "Quake 2005 Revolution" website
into this directory and click on "Yes to all" when you get asked if you want to replace the
original files.
Now pack everything (except the old .pk3 files) into one big .zip file, rename it into
"pak0.pk3" and move it into the Q3A installation directory (baseq3).

Thats it, now start "Q3A" and "Quake 2005 Revolution" should run.

If you want to play on the internet or lan you have to set the option "pure" in the
q3config.cfg file to 0 instead of 1, you cannot play on a server where this option is active.
"Quake 2005 Revolution" and "Q3A" should be compatible when you install it manualy, that means if you have "Quake 2005 Revolution" installed
you can play with people who not have it, but as sayed "pure" must be set to 0

************************************************************
*                                                          *
*                          Tuning                          *
*                                                          *
************************************************************

Quake 2005 Revolution provides a q3config.cfg wich should give you the best graphics experience.
If you have a slow PC, simply delete it and replace it with your own.
You can also tune the q3config.cfg at your own, there are enough guides out there (take a look at quake.de).

************************************************************
*                                                          *
*                        Menu-Skins                        *
*                                                          *
************************************************************

You can download now new menu designs from the Quake 2005 Revolution website.
Simply extract the downloaded file(s) into the Q2K5 directory to install a design,
and delete the pak1.pk3 file in the Q2K5 directory to delete a skin.

************************************************************
*                                                          *
*                    MOD Compatibility                     *
*                                                          *
************************************************************

If you install "Quake 2005 Revolution" manualy it may modify also other mods.
In fact every Q3A mod should run all the same with Quake 2005 Revolution installed,
but Quake 2005 Revolution replaces some original Q3A files,
in this case something may not look as it should, in the most cases for example the hud or the menu.
I will test some other mods with Quake 2005 Revolution and comment such things here.
